BLS Instructor Course

This is the approve American Heart Association( AHA) BLS Instructor Course. This course is in alignment all the AHA guidelines and several requirements must be met to become an AHA Instructor. The course fee only covers the class becoming a BLS instructor there are additional investments required to becoming an instructor:

• Candidates must have a current unexpired BLS provider card.
• Candidates cards cannot be expired at the time of instructor monitoring. If the card expires before monitoring is complete the candidate must take the BLS provider course to be in compliance
• Candidates must pass the BLS provider written exam. (No remediation) Students who do not pass the exam will not pass the course
• BLS online essentials course is included in the course fee and must be completed prior to class
• Candidates must purchase a BLS 2025 Instructor manual
• After class is completed candidates must teach a BLS course and be monitored teaching a live course
• Candidates must purchase the 2025 DVD or digital provider course for teaching
• Manikins are required adult and pediatric feedback manikins 1:3 ratio max
• BVM/ ambu bag for adults and pediatrics
• Pocket Mask
• AED Trainer with Adult and Pediatric Pads for effective AHA Instructor Certification training
• Cleaning supplies, manikin lungs. Additional supplies include projector.
• Instructor starter package can be rented from MiM’s Emergency Room to meet competency requirements for a fee. Starter package rental is $350 and must be paid in full for the day of competency sign off.
• There are no refunds and no cancellations. Monies will be forfeited unless class is canceled by the instructor.If a candidate does not attend class they must attend the next scheduled class.
• Once all of the above are met the students application will be submitted for alignment with the AHA including E CARD. Instructor E cards are not issued until the all of the above requirements are met
• Instructor monitoring must be completed within 90 days of class completion. After 90 days if the candidate has not completed the instructor monitoring the class fee will be forfeited and not refunded.
